About Me

Hi there! I'm so glad you stopped by to check out my blog. It means so much, Thank you! My name is Shannon.

I live outside of a small town near Iowa City in the great state of Iowa (home of the Hawkeyes, corn, and some of the coolest down-to-earth folks). I am a full-time graphic designer/typesetter, full-time mommy (to Little Man), full-time girlfriend to the love of my life (Big Man)  for the past 13 years, and full-time zookeeper to all of our furry family members.

I love all things pretty! I also love all things organized and in their place in my home. From crafting handy tools (like the sugar spout for my coffee made from an old salt spout and a mason jar below left) to meal planning and baskets for easier meal time during the week (photo below right shows recipe card prep).

             

   

    

I am also starting to find my passion for cooking again! My guys (Little Man + Big Man) are finally beginning to enjoy eating more of a variety, which affords me the opportunity to start cooking more.  Little by little, my passion is coming back! Because of this, I have started this blog. I am so excited to share with all of you all of the pretty ways I get my chaotic home more organized as well as some of the great recipes I find (and as I get better, ones I make myself) that are "my guys" approved!

As you will see throughout my posts, our home can be quite chaotic.  Between the Little Man's adventures to keeping up with all of the fur monsters and everything in between, there is never a dull moment around this place! As crazy as it may seem, it is a fun, silly, crafty, educational, yummy home, and I wouldn't change that for the world!
